Did you know that when you haven’t let go of regret from the past, you can easily struggle with jealousy? Sometimes we don’t make that connection but when you see others experiencing their dreams and destiny and you’re not; jealousy can be the end result.

William Penn said, “The jealous are troublesome to others but a torment to themselves.” None of us like to feel those horrible feelings of jealousy. Jealous people are the most despondent, depressed and unhappy people alive.

So, what is the answer? Bring your regrets of the past to the Lord and get His perspective. Don’t stay stuck in your own personal defeat and disappointment. God has a plan for your life regardless of past mistakes, missed opportunities or personal failures. Whether it was your fault or someone else’s, God is not hindered in bringing you into your own personal destiny.

God has a plan just for you! Whether it is a relationship, a career or ministry or something else – it is unique and a fit for you! That’s why you don’t have to be jealous when someone else succeeds or receives something you desire. God has a blessing exclusively for you.

Get a handle on your own personal regrets that keep you stuck in the past. Forgive anyone whom you believe might have hindered your moving forward (self included). Believe God for your special blessing and open your heart to receive it.

Where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and evil thing are there. James 3:16
